Guide to Fit Mesh Muzzle Size 2s.
Fit mesh is a versatile tool, but it has one major drawback: the muzzle size cannot be changed. The only alternative is to buy and change all your dog’s apparel in order to fit them, which can become very expensive depending on how many different sizes you need.
Here is a guide to resize almost all of the 2s muzzle size fit mesh items, which will allow you to change the size without having to buy new ones.
All you need are your dog’s old MESH EDITOR BUILDS, claws that do not clip into the ground/objects (aka “floaters”), and some patience.
You may have noticed that when you try to resize an item in your inventory, it appears in edit mode with no visible mesh where the muzzle should be. This is because this invisible mesh cannot be resized like normal meshes can. Instead, we must move around parts of other visible meshes (the head and eyes) so they cover up the area originally occupied by this invisible nose part, then resize these visible parts.
Here’s a quick example using the low end model of the fitmesh puffer vest:
The blue mesh is how it looks in edit mode, and you can see there is no “nose” visible where the invisible part would be. In order to resize this item, we must move around the head and eyes to cover up this area, then rescale those parts instead. This means moving each vertex one by one for every single vertex on the whole mesh which totals at almost 300 vertices just for that vest alone! So patience will definitely be required while making your edits. Don’t worry about messing up though because if your edits are not what you want them to be all you have to do is click undo and the mesh will go back to its original state.
